Daniel Mercer is the editorial byline of the founder and editor of Legal Template Vault. He has worked on websites for about ten years, mainly on search engine optimization (SEO) and on keeping sites secure. He is self-taught in both: he learned by building and running his own sites.

Today he owns and runs several websites of his own, on technology, Android security and sports news.

He started Legal Template Vault in 2026 because free legal templates online rarely say which state’s rules they follow or where their clauses come from. The site applies what he knows about publishing on the web to that problem: clear pages, sources you can check, and nothing collected from the people who use it.
