About Us

LegalTemplateVault.com provides free, high-quality legal templates in PDF and Microsoft Word format for individuals, small businesses, landlords, contractors, and anyone who needs to put a legal agreement in writing without paying hundreds of dollars to a lawyer for documents that already exist.

Our Mission

Most legal templates online fall into two categories: low-quality “free” templates that are dangerous to actually use, or polished templates locked behind expensive subscriptions to legal software companies. We exist to offer a third option: professionally drafted, attorney-reviewed templates, free of charge, in both PDF and editable Word format.

Whether you need a non-disclosure agreement for a contractor, a lease for a rental property, a bill of sale for a vehicle, or a power of attorney for a family member, we provide the template — and the explanation of when, how, and why to use it.

What We Cover

  • Business Templates — NDAs, partnership agreements, LLC operating agreements, promissory notes, vendor contracts, MSAs, cease and desist letters, demand letters.
  • Real Estate Templates — Residential lease agreements (state-specific), commercial leases, eviction notices, rental applications, quit claim deeds, sublease agreements.
  • Employment Templates — Independent contractor agreements, non-compete agreements (state-specific), non-disclosure agreements, offer letters, severance agreements, termination letters.
  • Personal Templates — Bills of sale (vehicle, boat, firearm, general), last wills and testaments, powers of attorney (financial and medical), advance healthcare directives, receipts.

Why State-Specific Matters

Generic legal templates are often dangerous because U.S. law is largely state-based. A California lease has different mandatory disclosures than a Texas lease. A non-compete that is enforceable in Florida is void in California. A bill of sale that satisfies DMV requirements in New York may not satisfy them in Arizona. That’s why we publish state-specific versions of our most important templates — covering California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Michigan, and growing.

How We Make Money

The templates are completely free. We sustain the Site through display advertising. If you find a template helpful, the best way to support us is to share it with someone else who needs it. We never sell visitor information or restrict access to templates behind paywalls.

Important Disclaimer
